Bert is a founding partner in the firm. He has spent his entire career focused on real estate development and is recognized as an expert in the field. He appears frequently before LPAT (formerly the Ontario Municipal Board), and Joint Boards. In his capacity as general counsel to many local firms, he provides advice on real estate acquisitions, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory matters and finance.

In addition, his general practice includes providing advice and guidance on a host of matters with particular focus on real estate, estate planning, corporate and business law, tax law and finance. Mr. Arnold is a life-long resident of Halton Hills and is actively involved in the local community. He enjoys playing golf locally and travelling overseas.

Steven is a founding partner of the firm. He specializes in family and civil litigation. He has extensive experience in family law, including: divorce, child custody and access disputes, support, property division, and related matters.

His civil litigation practice extends to: commercial litigation, collections, construction law, and estate litigation. He regularly attends before the trial divisions of the courts of the Province of Ontario and assists clients through the mediation and arbitration processes.

His philosophy when acting in matrimonial disputes is to remain client and child focused. Experience has taught him that in a crisis the client seeks sound guidance and a clear road map to settle their dispute in a manner that is both fair and cost effective. Steven is committed to achieving this goal.

In addition, Steven conducts a general practice, including: residential and commercial real estate, estate planning, and business law. In his capacity as general counsel to many local firms, he provides advice on employment law, tax and succession planning, acquisitions, regulatory matters and finance.

Steven is an active volunteer and has a keen interest in the local heritage of Halton Hills. He is past chair of Heritage Halton Hills, a former member of the library board, and founding member of the Heritage Foundation of Halton Hills and Lucy Maud Montgomery Museum and Literary Centre, Norval. He enjoys playing golf, skiing and fishing.

Thomas joined the firm as an articling student following his graduation from Dalhousie Law School in 2005 and he became a partner in 2008. He specializes in real estate development, civil litigation and family law (property and support matters). His civil litigation practice focuses on real estate and business law disputes, collections and estate litigation. He regularly attends before various courts and administrative tribunals of the Province of Ontario and on behalf of clients at mediation and arbitration.

In addition, Thomas’s general practice focuses on residential and commercial real estate, estate planning and collections. In his capacity as general counsel to many local firms he provides advice on real estate acquisitions, regulatory matters and finance.

Thomas resides in Halton Hills (Stewarttown) with his wife and two daughters where he is a lifelong resident and remains active in the community including local charitable organizations. He enjoys playing volleyball, golf and cheering on the Raptors with his family.

After receiving her Bachelor of Arts from York University and obtaining her law degree, Fiona has dedicated her legal career to assisting clients’ transition through the complexities of Family Law and Wills & Estates.

Fiona readily advocates for clients before the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice and represents clients at all stages of the resolution process. Fiona seeks to ensure that her clients understand their legal rights and strives to ensure that their best interests are protected.

Fiona is also a skilled advocate in negotiations outside of court and strives to settle matters in a cost-effective and expedient manner with fair and equitable resolutions. She understands the value of alternative dispute resolution and will support her clients through mediation or arbitration, when necessary. 

Fiona litigates matters dealing with parenting arrangements, decision-making responsibility, child support, spousal support, and property division with a collaborative and child focused approach. She also assists clients with the preparation of Cohabitation Agreements, Marriage Contracts, Separation Agreements and Divorce Applications.

Fiona’s Wills & Estates practice includes the preparation of Primary Wills, Secondary Wills, Powers of Attorney for Property and Personal Care, and obtaining Certificates of Appointment of an Estate Trustee With or Without a Will.

Fiona’s real estate practice includes closing transactions for residential purchases and sales, title transfers, mortgage refinancing and reviewing status certificates.

Outside of the office, Fiona enjoys hiking, canoeing, and volunteering her time with high school students to organize, coach and judge mooting competitions with the Ontario Bar Association.
