Legal services provided by the firm are billed at an hourly rate established between the client and the lawyer at the commencement of the engagement. This practice applies generally to litigation matters and most solicitors work. The rate to be applied is contingent on the experience of counsel and the complexity of the issues involved. As we are a results-oriented firm, the final bill may be subject to a bonus depending on the result.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, certain transactions are charged on a block fee basis. Again block fees are to be agreed upon at the commencement of the retainer. They include:

Purchase of Residential Property (re-sale)
* no mortgage $525.00
* including one mortgage or secured line of credit $625.00
* each additional mortgage or secured line of credit $250.00

Purchase of Residential Property (new)
* no mortgage $575.00
* including one mortgage or secured line of credit $675.00
* each additional mortgage or secured line of credit $250.00

Purchase of Residential Condominium (new)
* no mortgage $775.00
* including one mortgage or secured line of credit $875.00
* each additional mortgage or secured line of credit $250.00

Refinance
* includes one mortgage or secured line of credit & one discharge $400.00
* each additional mortgage or secured line of credit $250.00
* transfer of title along with refinance $175.00
* payment of debts (ie credit cards, loans etc) $50.00 each
* each additional discharge $125.00

Disbursements can include but are not restricted to: (plus applicable taxes)
Search costs, Land Transfer Tax, Government Registration Costs, Execution Certificate, Teraview/Conveyancer's closing costs, Title Insurance Premium, Clearing Title and Conveyancing Defects,Miscellaneous (can include) - long distance calls/courier/photocopies/etc.
